Ciao, Opera Mavens. Here are a couple March events we wanted to give you a heads-up about with more coming later this month:

Masterworks 3: Legendary – Orchestral and vocal splendor abound as the Marin Symphony and Chorus and SF Opera Adler Fellow mezzo-soprano Ashley Dixon put their sights on the legendary. Swiss folkhero William Tell, Odysseus’ sirens from Greek mythology, and the real-life Russian Prince Nevsky will all come to life in musical glory. $20 – $85 Sat Mar 9 at 8pm and Sun Mar 10 at 3pm

Ammon and the King: Immigrant Speaks Truth to Power -This two-act chamber opera, composed in 2018 by Deon Nielsen Price, is based on an ancient story with a message for modern times. It is one of the stories about an ancient group of people who emigrated from Jerusalem as told in The Book of Mormon.
