Drinks and Drama: A Taste of the Season – A social-educational event featuring live performances and cocktails tailored to pair with each opera. Photographs, musical excerpts, and video clips chosen by SFO Archives and Communications experts will immerse you in the worlds of Turandot, Elektra, Traviata, Manon, and Girls of the Golden West; performers include Adlers Sarah CambidgeToni Marie Palmertree, and Amitai Pati with Merolina Jennifer Szeto accompanying on piano. Norma (Bellini) – The Druid priestess Norma (soprano Christina Major, OSJ 1997-2000 & 2003-04) hides an astounding secret: her affair with the Roman pro-consul Pollione (Australian tenor Benjamin Sloman) and the two children she has borne him.
