A Taste of Russia – Holiday soirée including festive food, wine, champagne, and caviar plus music by Russia’s greatest composers (Rachmaninov, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Tchaikovsky) performed by mezzo Luba Yudasina, bass Kirk Eichelberger (OSJ 2001-03, 2005-06), cellist Samsun Van Loon, and pianist Ronny Michael Greenberg (Adler 2015-17). Christmas Oratorio (Bach) – With its festive arias, choruses, and recitatives, it’s almost like an opera! Last year we presented the first half of this masterwork so this year we’re “bringing home” the rest; add to that the remarkable Magnificat in D and you’re in for a properly inspiring opener for the holiday season. Guest artists include sopranos Michele Kennedy and Jessica House Steward, mezzo Leandra Ramm, tenor Michael Jankosky, baritone Nikolas Nackley, and the Jubilate Orchestra on period instruments.
