Nabucco (Verdi) – WBO’s first-ever production of monumental opera based on the biblical story of the Hebrew slaves’ struggle against King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, presented unabridged and fully staged in collaboration with the Assyrian Arts Institute. Starring baritone Jason Duika as Nabucco, soprano Christina Major as his oldest daughter Abigaile, mezzo Claudia Chapa as his younger daughter Fenena, tenor John Kun Park as Ismaele, the King of Jerusalem’s nephew and object of both women’s affection, and bass Ben Brady as Zaccaria, High Priest of the Jews; directed by Layna Chianakas (OSJ 1995-97), Jose Luis Moscovich conducting.

Nabucco (Verdi) – Concert version of complete opera with baritone Kenny Stavert (Nabucco), soprano Juyeon Song (Abigaille), bass-baritone Philip Skinner (Zaccaria), mezzo-soprano Tamara Gallo (Fenena), and tenor Alex Boyer (Ismaele). Conducting the singers and full orchestra and chorus will be Jonathan Khuner.

Tawawa House (Perry) – This bold and controversial opera tells the compelling story of a central Ohio resort hotel that served as a vacation spot for white slave owners and their black mistresses and children before the Civil War, then became a stop on the Underground Railroad and eventually the first African American owned and managed university.
