ABOUT James Crow
- James Crow is a lifelong classical music lover originally from North Carolina who was first exposed to opera through his Grandma Ruth’s album collection and, like lots others, those silly Saturday morning Looney Toons cartoons. After many years of playing clarinet and bass clarinet in school bands and orchestra, his operatic relationship got more serious in 2001 when he moved to San Francisco and started partaking in its rich performing arts scene. After Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen by SF Opera in 2004 he was hooked and things really took off. Nowadays this budding Wagnerian and wannabe ‘Ring Head’ really loves Italian opera and bel canto; when he’s not supering, lightwalking, or in standing room at the SF Opera, he can be found at AT&T Park cheering on the SF Giants. James joined Team OperaBobb in 2014.
