William Berger Presents: The Epic of Opera – Metropolitan Opera commentator and noted author and lecturer William Berger presents this lively, interactive late-afternoon/early evening Zoom-based webinar tracing the story of opera itself.

Each session will feature a presentation with visuals and playlists, a discussion with a famous opera singer, and an interactive segment with course attendees. The sessions promise to be lively, engaging, informative, and even mind-opening. Every session will include a recommended cocktail thematically designed by notable musical mixologists of legendary venues, emphasizing that this is a social and artistic event as well as an educational one. $50; June 7 – 20

Des Moines Metro Opera Summer Virtual Festival – Beginning Sunday, June 28 through July 19, Des Moines Metro Opera is having a virtual festival and presenting streams of their recent productions of Manon, Bon Appétit, Rusalka, Billy Budd, and Le Comte Ory.
