Brundibar (Krasa) – Fully staged production of opera written for 34 children with just one adult part, first performed in a Jewish Orphanage in German-occupied Prague; the children and composer were eventually transported to the Terezin concentration camp where the opera had over 50 more performances before the composer and most of the children perished at Auschwitz. This beautiful and moving piece is a parable of hope and justice appropriate for all ages. Tickets: $22 Adults, $7 Children (12 & under)

– From Despina the maid to Sarastro the king, many opera characters have an opinion (right or wrong) re: the state of life and how to get out of sticky situations; come enjoy a cold beverage while our singers wax eloquent about life, hatch a crafty scheme, and “mansplain” their ideas until everyone’s eyes start to roll! As always, this event is FREE, with tips and donations enthusiastically accepted at the show.
