Ciao Opera Mavens. According to Cruisemeister Tom Taffel, a medical emergency has caused a scheduled passenger to cancel his travel to Tahiti and the South Pacific (departing July 29, 2015). Here is Tom’s special discount offer in his own words:
If this glorious opera group cruise happens to work into your schedule for this year, I’d be happy to give you, (in addition to all the other gifts and discounts my group of forty-three will be receiving), a gift of $1,000 + $1,000 for two people or a gift of $2,038 for one person … so I will absorb the cost of the single supplement charge for this beautiful E-Category picture window stateroom on our OPERA group cruise to Bora Bora on the m/s “Paul Gauguin” with opera stars Kristin Clayton and Catherine Cook plus legendary Jean-Michel Cousteau aboard the ~ six-star ~ ultra-luxury ~ (small) 332 passengers m/s “Paul Gauguin” ~ for July 29, 2015 to August 7, 2015.
Although the ship is nearly 100% sold out — we have a very large group, (forty-three exciting guests), already booked. Please give me a call at your earliest convenience if this is of interest … 415.566.7673 and please note that this is a new (hopefully) temporary e-mail address: “TomTaffel@outlook.com”
Jean-Michel Cousteau will conduct a series of lectures with videos of his work in the world’s oceans, as well as accompany several dives from the ship. He has produced more than 80 films and received numerous prestigious awards, including the Emmy, Peabody, 7 d’Or, and Cable Ace Awards. This will be our last group sailing with Jean-Michel Cousteau.
Jean-Michel Cousteau (born 6 May 1938) is a French explorer, environmentalist, educator, and film producer. The first son of ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau, he is the father of Fabien Cousteau and Céline Cousteau.
