Antonin Dvorák: Music from the People – This 19th-century Czech composer brought the world symphonies, symphonic poems, operas, chamber music, and ensembles for strings; all of which had roots in Czech folk music. His rhythms and melodic structures draw us into the style of this genre but never just repeat folk tunes. Instructor John Kendall Bailey of Trinity Lyric Opera will chart the career of this prolific artist and play selections of his diverse oeuvre to illustrate his remarkable talent.
FREE for OLLI & Mastick Senior Center Members; $5 for non-members.
Wed Nov 16 from 1:30 – 3pm Mastick Senior Center 1155 Santa Clara Ave., Alameda

ENJOY!
